Integrated Ceiling Objects

Smoke detectors, heat detectors, CCTV cameras, burglar alarms and spotlights are like many other objects located in the ceilings of our domestic and public spaces. These products are traditionally produced by different manufactures/ industries given little concern to how these products will appear and function together.

The brief was to investigate these by industry ‘neglected objects’ in order to address the functional shortcoming and visual clutter consumers are imposed due to a lack of choice from industry.

This product system offers an integrated solution which is designed to provide easy installation, swift maintenance and smooth relocations without the help from an electrician. The different products are like a traditionally lightbulb screwed into a fitting-mechanism (hidden inside the ceiling joist space) reducing the visible part of the product protruding below the ceiling surface to the minimal size and shape. The system includes safety, security, lighting, speaker, WIFI and signage solutions.
